SUCH SWEET THUNDER

It is such that we are two recording engineers - one sweet ↔︎ the other thunder. Together we specialise in producing and mixing music for film. We are serious about our profession but have fun doing it.
We work with some of the world's great musicians, composers, directors and also with many teams of people whose incredible talents helps us to sound good.
Our company name is inspired by the Great Bard who in 1595 penned “I never heard so musical a discord, such sweet thunder”. Built on more than a night’s dream, we started our company midsummer 2016.

We have our own Dolby Atmos mix room which we call "Sweet Thunder”.
Just a short walk from London's new creative hub of King’s Cross, we are surrounded by beautiful local pubs, cafes and restaurants.
We love mixing.
We chase the detail - enjoy collaborations - drink coffee - and are slightly obsessive.
Inside Sweet Thunder is a mixing desk which we call “thunderDesk”. This helps us to do our job in a unique way, which we love.
As engineers we fancy a good bit of tech. We like equipment old & new, vintage & pristine, analogue & digital and weird & wonderful.
We like to turn dials, flick switches, rotate knobs and move faders. We work hard to get the best quality in all things.
As musician engineers we love to delve deep in between the notes - looking for the space, the heart, the emotion and soul of a score.
Using our experience we work hard to bring out dimension and depth into a mix, seeking the sweet thunder that exists in the fabric of good music.
